Texturized soya pieces or chunks are a vegetable texturized protein which is a de-fatted soy flour product of soyabeans and made into pieces or chunks. It is commonly used as an alternative to meat because of its high protein content and is quick to cook. It contains iron-folic acid calcium magnesium potassium and B vitamins.
Uses
Texturized Soya Pieces (TSP) are used as an alternative vegetable source of protein. It is cooked as a relish and eaten with either nshima, rice, or potatoes. It is easy and quick to prepare.
